  1. Waste can be reduced by Manafacturer's- I found this topic intersting since when I used to live in Israel, I would buy a litre of milk in a bag. Not only was it cheaper for the manafaturer to create, but the waste was a whole lot less, than if it would be a cardboard container, or even a large plastic milk container. When I worked in Israel at a five star hotel, we would also save the plastic bottles and recycle them. The hotel would receive money as a refund. I know that recycling is a big issue here and also in other countries. It reduces the issue of major waste.

  2. It is nice to see a landfill after it has been cleaned up. People and kids are enjoying it instead of being a mountain of all kinds of trash. Despite so much effort in that area there is still a lot to be done. As the most advanced and highly populated nation in the world we have huge amounts of waste that should be recycled. Everybody needs to do his/her own part; households, communities, schools, institutions, businesses. Kids get trained in schools, employees first day at work. I remember the training session on recycling I had at the orientation meeting.

  3. I like to see that researchers are taking caution when it comes to finding another form of fuel that is more efficient. It is about time that they take the time to try and help sustain our environment. Biopower is an interesting topic by itself. Making things in all a little more inexpensive which is what we as consumers like to see.

The Solid Waste Incinerator are a great concept but unfortunately that makes them expensive and only affordable my some not many. But it creates energy and studies have shown that it is extremely efficient when it comes to energy saving.
